Wide Mouth Glass Demijohn — Why This Model?
Wide mouth demijohns are designed for fermentation of wines, beers, meads, storage of tinctures and distillates, pickles and fermented foods, compotes and jams, and bulk products. This type is extremely convenient to use. A hand fits freely in the wide neck. Thanks to this, it is easy to wash and easy to fill (empty) e.g. with larger fruits or vegetables.
Available in removable plastic baskets, sold as a set with a plastic lid, however with low tightness. For airtight fermentation we recommend using the 138 mm rubber cap (647238) — perfectly matched to all three capacities.

⚠ Usage & Safety
- Do NOT subject to sudden thermal shocks — large temp differences can damage glass
- Before use, keep demijohn at room temperature for min. 1 hour
- Do NOT pour water hotter than 50°C into the demijohn
- Wash in lukewarm water with disinfectants e.g. potassium metabisulfite or Oxi Turbo
- During vigorous fermentation — high internal pressure — use less tight cotton wool plug to prevent glass cracking
