Camlock fittings, also known as cam and groove couplings, are quick-release hose connectors designed for fast and easy connection and disconnection of hoses or pipes in a variety of fluid transfer applications. They consist of two key parts: a male adapter and a female coupler. The male adapter features a groove ring around its circumference — giving rise to the name "cam and groove" — while the female coupler is equipped with cam arms which, when pulled back, allow the male adapter to be inserted. Once the cam arms are released, they securely lock the connection in place.

This kit contains a Type F fitting with nut and washer, and a Type C fitting. The Type C camlock features a female camlock end and a barb end, while the Type F fitting has a male thread on the adapter.
The included nut and washer allow straightforward connection to a water butt. The BSPF back nut with washer is easy to fit and remove, making it suitable for both temporary and permanent uses. These components are constructed robustly to ensure lasting durability, even under demanding conditions. The back nut offers a secure lock to keep the fitting firmly in place under pressure, while the washer provides an effective seal to minimise leaks and guarantee a watertight connection.
