The ½” BSP water butt extension is a practical accessory designed to increase the accessibility and functionality of rainwater tanks or barrels. With a male BSP thread on one side and a female BSP thread on the other, it provides a 50mm outward extension – ideal for connecting hoses or filling watering cans more easily.

Compatible with containers that already have a ½” BSP female thread, this connector can be screwed directly in place. If your tank doesn’t have a pre-threaded opening, simply use the included 21mm drill bit to create one. Once mounted, the extension offers enough clearance for convenient water access and use.

The supplied back nut and washers ensure a firm and leak-free installation. The nut securely locks the fitting in place, while the washers help distribute pressure evenly and provide a watertight seal. This combination offers durability and ease of installation, whether for temporary use or permanent setups.

The brass bib tap features a ½” BSP male thread and a barbed spout for secure hose connection. Made from corrosion-resistant brass, it's ideal for garden use and ensures a reliable seal and steady water flow.

The 21mm HSS drill bit included in this kit is engineered for clean, accurate hole cutting in materials such as plastic, wood, and metal. Its sharp teeth and durable design make it ideal for drilling the correct size hole for ½” BSP fittings, minimizing effort and reducing risk of cracking or material damage.

Important: This kit does not include PTFE tape. It must be purchased separately.
