The 1/2" BSP water butt extension is a practical fitting designed to extend access from your rain barrel or container by approximately 50mm. With a male thread on one side and a female thread on the other, it allows easier attachment of accessories such as taps or hoses. This added reach is especially helpful when filling watering cans or connecting irrigation equipment.
The extension fits a 21mm hole and can be easily threaded into pre-installed female connectors. For containers without an existing outlet, simply drill a hole in the desired position. Once installed, the extension offers increased convenience and flexibility in managing stored water.
The included back nut and washers securely fasten the extension fitting in place. This setup prevents movement and ensures a firm, leak-resistant seal. It is ideal for both temporary and permanent installations, offering strength and longevity under outdoor conditions.
The sealing washers help distribute pressure evenly during installation, reducing the risk of damage. They also ensure a tight, watertight fit to prevent any fluid loss — a key feature in maintaining the integrity of your water storage system.
The chrome-plated brass garden bib tap is designed for durability and efficiency. Its nickel plating provides added protection from corrosion, while the 1/2" BSP male thread and 1/2" hose barb outlet ensure a secure and stable connection. The barb grips the inside of the hose firmly, preventing leaks and disconnections during use.
The quarter-turn lever mechanism allows for smooth, one-handed control of water flow. With its extended 8cm design, the tap is easier to reach and operate, making it more convenient when accessing water from deeper or lower-set barrels. Whether for watering, cleaning, or filling containers, this tap delivers reliable performance.
Please note: PTFE tape is not included in this kit and should be purchased separately to ensure leak-proof installation.
