The water butt extension connector is a practical component designed to increase the accessibility of your rainwater barrel or water tank. With a male BSP thread on one side and a female BSP thread on the other, this fitting adds a 50mm extension, making it easier to connect hoses or fill watering cans without reaching awkwardly into tight spaces.
It features a 1/2" BSP thread, suitable for 21mm holes. If your container has a pre-threaded outlet, the connector can be screwed in directly. If not, simply drill a hole and install using the supplied nut and washers to create a reliable seal and secure connection. Once fitted, the extension provides ample space for practical and efficient use.
The included back nut and washers secure the connector firmly in place. Designed for both permanent and temporary installations, this combination ensures a leak-proof seal and long-term stability under pressure. The durable materials used provide resistance to wear and weather.
The washers help distribute pressure evenly during installation, preventing deformation and enhancing sealing performance. This ensures the connection remains watertight even in demanding environments, reducing the risk of leaks or water loss.
The included lever tap is crafted from nickel-plated brass, offering superior strength and corrosion resistance. With a 1/2" BSP male inlet and a 1/2" hose barb outlet, it ensures a secure and firm hose connection. Precision-engineered barbs grip the hose tightly to prevent disconnection and leakage.
The tap features a smooth-operating lever for easy on/off control and includes a locking mechanism to prevent unauthorized access. Please note: PTFE tape is not included in this kit and must be purchased separately for proper sealing.
