This water butt extension connector is designed to make your rainwater barrel setup more accessible and practical. With a male BSP thread on one end and a female BSP thread on the other, it provides a 50mm outward extension — perfect for easier hose connection or filling containers without strain.
Fitting into a 21mm hole, the 1/2" BSP thread allows easy installation into pre-threaded outlets. If your water butt doesn’t have a thread, you can drill a hole and secure the connector with the included nut and washers. Once in place, it provides a sturdy and watertight outlet extended 50mm from the barrel surface.
The back nut and sealing washers are used to tightly secure the extension fitting. The setup is quick and simple, suitable for both permanent and seasonal installations. The durable construction of each part ensures longevity and resistance to pressure and weathering.
The washers play an essential role in evenly distributing pressure and creating a tight seal. This helps avoid deformation of the container wall and ensures a leak-free installation that stands up to fluid pressure over time.
The included side-locking lever tap is made from nickel-plated brass for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. It features a 1/2" BSP male thread inlet and a 1/2" hose barb outlet that firmly grips the hose, preventing accidental detachment or leaks. Perfect for smooth and uninterrupted garden watering.
The lever handle provides precise water control with a simple quarter turn. The integrated side lock allows the user to attach a padlock for security, making it ideal for shared or public-access areas where controlled usage is required.
Please note: PTFE tape is not included and must be purchased separately for optimal sealing during installation.
