The water butt extension connector is a practical accessory designed to improve the usability of your water butt or rain barrel. It features a ¾” BSP male thread on one end and a ¾” BSP female thread on the other, providing a convenient 50mm extension. This makes filling watering cans or attaching a hose easier and more accessible.

With a 3/4" BSP thread size suitable for a 26mm hole, installation is straightforward. This connector can be screwed into existing female threads on your container if pre-installed. Alternatively, if your water butt does not have pre-existing threads, you can install this by drilling a suitable hole at your preferred location.

Once fitted, the connector extends outwards by 50mm, giving ample clearance for connecting hoses or filling containers comfortably. This extension enhances the functionality of your rainwater harvesting system by making water access simpler and more convenient.

The included back nut and washers secure the extension firmly to your water butt. The back nut ensures a tight lock, keeping the fitting securely in place, even under pressure. Both the nut and washers are easy to fit and remove, suited for both temporary and permanent installations. Their sturdy construction guarantees durability and long service life in demanding conditions.

The washers play an important role by evenly distributing the tightening load, which helps prevent damage or distortion to the surface during installation. They also provide an effective seal to reduce the risk of leaks, ensuring a watertight connection essential for fluid applications, helping to maintain system integrity and avoid water loss.

The kit also includes a 3/4" BSPM plastic Garden Dial Tap in stylish grey and white. This tap features a Quick-Lock Connector for effortless hose and irrigation system attachment or removal in seconds, ensuring a secure, leak-free connection. The robust plastic construction offers excellent durability and resistance to corrosion, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its 3/4" BSPM thread is compatible with a wide range of water fittings, allowing easy integration with your existing setup.
