The water butt extension connector is a versatile accessory designed to improve the ease of use of your water butt or rain barrel. It features a BSP male thread on one side and a BSP female thread on the other, providing a useful 50mm extension that simplifies filling watering cans or connecting hoses.

Featuring a 3/4" BSP thread size suitable for a 26mm hole, the connector can be smoothly screwed into existing female threads on your container. If your barrel does not have pre-installed threads, the connector can be fitted by creating a suitable hole at your chosen position.

Once fitted, the extension projects 50mm outward, offering ample clearance for hose connections or container filling. This improves accessibility to your stored water, enhancing the overall function of your rainwater harvesting setup.

The included back nut and washers secure the extension firmly to your water butt. The back nut provides a tight lock to keep the fitting in place under pressure, while the washers help distribute the load evenly, preventing damage or deformation during tightening. They also help create an effective seal, minimising the risk of leaks and ensuring a watertight connection — vital for fluid systems to maintain efficiency and avoid waste.

The In-Line Soft Touch Valve ¾" BSPM included in this kit is a sturdy and dependable flow control device that allows precise management of water or other fluids. It has ¾” BSP male threaded inlet and outlet connections, making it simple to install into various plumbing configurations. Constructed from strong, durable plastic, the valve offers excellent resistance to wear and corrosion, while its lightweight design allows for easy handling compared to metal alternatives.

This joiner features a barbed end that provides a secure grip on the irrigation pipe, preventing leaks or accidental disconnections. Installation is straightforward — simply push the barb into the end of the ½" pipe, where it locks securely without the need for extra tools or complicated fittings.
