The water butt extension connector is a flexible accessory designed to improve the usability of your water butt or rain barrel. It has a BSP male thread on one end and a BSP female thread on the opposite end, providing a 50mm extension to ease filling watering cans or connecting hoses.

With a 3/4" BSP thread size compatible with a 26mm hole, the connector can be easily screwed into existing female threads on your water container. If no pre-existing thread is present, it can be fitted by creating a suitable hole in the chosen location.

Once installed, the extension protrudes by 50mm, offering plenty of space for hose attachment or container filling. This feature makes accessing water stored in your barrel more convenient, enhancing the overall effectiveness of your rainwater harvesting system.

The back nut and washers included in this kit securely fasten the extension to your water butt. The back nut provides a firm lock that keeps the fitting in place even when under pressure. Both components are simple to fit and remove, making them suitable for temporary or permanent installations. Their sturdy build ensures long-lasting durability, even in tough outdoor conditions.

The washers play an important part by distributing the tightening force evenly, which prevents damage or distortion during assembly. They also offer a reliable seal that reduces the chance of leaks, ensuring a watertight connection vital for fluid systems to maintain integrity and prevent wastage.
