The 1/2" BSP Male to Female water butt adaptor is a practical and flexible component designed for use in rainwater storage systems. If your barrel features a female thread, the adaptor can be simply screwed in, enabling a quick and seamless upgrade of your existing setup.
For containers without a pre-threaded outlet, installation is just as easy. Drill an appropriate hole, remove one washer and the back nut from the adaptor, then insert it through the hole. Secure the fitting from the inside using the remaining washer and nut. This dual-washer setup provides a tight, leak-resistant seal for long-term reliability.
Made from tough, weather-resistant plastic, the connector is built to handle outdoor conditions and the constant pressure of stored water. Its straightforward design allows for hassle-free installation whether you're upgrading a current system or starting from scratch.
The included garden tap is a sturdy, extended-length cross bib tap constructed from nickel-plated brass, offering excellent durability and corrosion resistance. With a 1/2" BSP male inlet, it integrates easily into compatible setups. The 1/2" hose barb provides a secure grip on garden hoses, helping to prevent accidental disconnections and leaks.
The tap features a user-friendly quarter-turn mechanism for easy on/off control. Its extended 8cm design improves accessibility and comfort during use—ideal for watering plants, filling buckets, or rinsing garden tools. This tap is a reliable and practical addition to any outdoor water system.
