The 1/2" BSP male-to-female adaptor is a convenient and reliable solution for connecting water butts or rain barrels. If your container already features a female thread, the adaptor can be screwed in directly, allowing for fast and straightforward installation within existing setups.
If there is no threaded outlet, you can still use the adaptor by drilling a hole in your water butt. Remove the nut and one washer, insert the fitting through the hole, and then secure it inside using the washer and nut. The use of washers on both sides ensures a secure, watertight connection that minimizes leaks and maintains system efficiency.
Made from strong, weather-resistant plastic, the adaptor is built for long-lasting performance in outdoor conditions. It’s an excellent choice for upgrading or starting a water-saving solution and is suitable for both beginners and experienced users.
The included garden lever tap is made of durable nickel-plated brass, offering excellent resistance to corrosion and wear. It features a 1/2" BSP male inlet for easy connection and a 1/2" hose barb designed to hold hoses tightly in place, preventing leaks and accidental disconnection.
Its lever handle provides smooth on/off flow control with a single motion. The integrated locking mechanism allows you to attach a padlock for added protection, helping to prevent unauthorised use. This makes the tap ideal for garden setups, allotments, and rainwater harvesting systems.
Please note: PTFE tape is not included and should be purchased separately for proper sealing during installation.
