Simply create a hole at the desired location on your water butt, remove the back nut and one washer from the connector, then insert it through the hole. The connector is then secured by placing the washer and nut on the inside of the barrel and tightening firmly. This arrangement ensures washers are placed both inside and outside the container, providing a reliable, leak-proof seal.
