If your container lacks a pre-formed thread, the connector can still be securely fitted directly to the barrel. Simply cut a hole in the desired position on your water butt, remove the back nut and one washer from the connector, then insert it through the hole. Secure it by placing the washer and nut on the inside of the barrel and tightening firmly. This configuration ensures washers are present on both the inside and outside, providing a strong, leak-proof seal.
