A water flow meter is a device used to measure the volume or mass of water moving through a pipe. These meters are vital across various sectors such as water management and irrigation. This particular water flow meter features a removable reducing connector compatible with ¾” or 1” BSP fittings. This standardised threading guarantees a snug connection, prevents leaks, and maintains optimum water flow. Additionally, it includes a universal push-fit hose connector adaptor for easy attachment to hose pipes.
The device operates with a CR2032 Lithium 3V coin cell battery, which is included.
To access the battery, firmly grip the meter and gently pull off the clear front cap at one edge. On the underside of this front cover, you will find a white battery cap; remove it to expose the battery.
Use the button to cycle through various display options: sum 1, sum 2, auto, litres per minute (l/min), or gallons per minute (g/min).
Selecting the unit per minute displays the current flow rate. The auto mode shows the water volume used during the active session. Sum 1 and Sum 2 track total water usage continuously since their last reset. You can reset Sum 1 or Sum 2 to zero by selecting the respective option and holding the button down.
To switch between litres and gallons, press the button until the display shows l/min or g/min, then hold the button for three seconds to change the unit. This selection will display the current flow rate per minute.
Since Sum 1 and Sum 2 are reset manually, you can use them to monitor water usage over custom periods—for example, Sum 1 for daily usage and Sum 2 for monthly consumption. Remember to hold down the button to reset the values when needed.
