A water flow meter is a device used to measure the volume or mass of water flowing through a pipe. These instruments play a vital role in various sectors, including water management and irrigation. By delivering precise readings, flow meters support effective management of water resources. This water flow meter features a removable reducing connector suitable for ¾” or 1” BSP fittings. The standardised threading guarantees a secure connection, preventing leaks and maintaining optimal water flow. It also includes a universal push-fit hose connector adaptor for easy attachment to hose pipes.
The device is powered by a CR2032 Lithium 3V coin cell battery, which is provided.
To access the battery, firmly hold the meter and pull off the clear front cap at one edge. Beneath this cap, you will find a white battery cover—remove it to reveal the battery compartment.
Use the button to cycle through the display modes: sum 1, sum 2, auto, litres per minute (l/min), or gallons per minute (g/min).
Selecting the unit per minute mode shows the current flow rate. The auto mode displays the total water used in the current session. Sum 1 and Sum 2 track cumulative water usage since their last reset. To reset either sum, select it and hold down the button until the value returns to zero.
You can switch between litres and gallons by pressing the button until l/min or g/min appears, then holding the button for three seconds to change the unit. This selection will display the current flow rate per minute.
As Sum 1 and Sum 2 reset manually, you can use them to monitor water consumption over specific periods; for example, Sum 1 for daily usage and Sum 2 for monthly totals. Remember to reset the counts by holding down the button as needed.
