HOW TO USE
STEP 1 – Prepare Your Sample
Pour a sample of wine must or fermenting liquid into
the clean measuring cylinder.
STEP 2 – Insert the Hydrometer
Carefully lower the hydrometer into the liquid.
Make sure it floats freely without touching
the sides or bottom of the cylinder.
STEP 3 – Take a Reading
Allow the hydrometer to settle and read the measurement
at the liquid surface, following the manufacturer's
scale-reading instructions.
STEP 4 – Monitor Fermentation
Repeat measurements during fermentation to track
changes in sugar concentration.
For reliable results, take measurements close to the instrument's calibration temperature. Fermenting liquids may contain alcohol and dissolved carbon dioxide, which can affect readings.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This instrument measures liquid density using a calibrated sugar scale. It does not directly measure alcohol content.
Measurements taken after fermentation begins may require interpretation because alcohol affects liquid density.
Handle the hydrometer carefully, as measuring instruments of this type can be fragile.
